Terms of Reference for Final Project Evaluation
Project: Improving access to water and sanitation in Bangladesh Informal Settlement in Mombasa.
Background: Maji na Ufanisi (MnU) is a membership based Kenyan Non-Governmental Organization which has been in operation for the last 14 years.
The organization was established in 1998 with a view to taking over the programmes which were formerly being implemented by Water Aid (UK) in Kenya, when the latter decided to close its offices in Kenya in 1996.
Since inception MnU has been directly involved in the implementation of water and sanitation interventions at different spatial and organizational levels.
This has been through direct implementations of Water and Environmental Sanitation programs, nurturing Community Based Organizations on technical implementation of WES models alongside hosting of national and regional programs, specifically the Africa civil society Network on water and Sanitation (ANEW) and the Civil Society Urban Development Programme.
