Tax Accountant Job in Kenya

Position: Tax Accountant
 

Reporting To: Director - Projects

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Keep an update on all Tax Laws and Tax Changes
• Do all tax reconciliation and complete required tax reporting in a timely manner
• Submit VAT, PAYE and Corporate returns
• Update the company sales tax database as tax rates change
• Ensure correct procedures and documentation are submitted for importation of products  and equipment
• In-depth knowledge of Taxation Laws and of Tax Processing Systems
• Ability to research Concepts and tax applications effectively
• Devise tax strategies to defer or eliminate  tax payments
• Create tax data collection systems
• Prepare monthly reporting schedules
• Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner
• Prepare and update tax provision schedules
• Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities
• Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings
